Ananta: Advanced Customization System
Another deep dive into the game files has uncovered a major insight. The equipment system in Ananta is on par with top MMOs — it’s an incredibly deep appearance customization system.
What was found in the code:
- 8 rarity tiers: From basic to mythical. There’s a unique intermediate rank called GreenGrey, plus a separate class for quest items
- Anatomical slots: Dozens of clothing subtypes. Dedicated slots were found for makeup, elf ears, and tails — and “Demon Hands” even have two separate slots
- Ultimate dye & transmog system: Up to 7 independent dye zones per item (you can color things like collars or zippers separately). Players can also toggle the visibility of elements (e.g., hide ears under a helmet)
- Two types of sets: Clothing is grouped into collections. Visual sets are tied to brands and seasons, while functional sets grant hidden buffs and stats when fully assembled
- Footstep effects (FootEffect): A unique detail — some rare items and outfits leave custom visual trails while walking (light, auras, particles)
- No mob grinding: The code points to only two ways of obtaining clothing: quest rewards from NPCs and purchases in in-game shops
This isn’t just about buying skins — it’s a full ecosystem with brands, seasonal trends, and even a dedicated fashion encyclopedia. With set bonuses and unique visual effects, collecting outfits becomes a major gameplay goal, pushing players to complete quests and farm currency for shop items.
